Youth Work

The 'Base Youth Project' has been running for over 15 Years at Summerhill Community Centre, with young people leading the way. 

Our Summerhill Youth Committee is a group of young people aged between 11 and 25. We plan, organise and deliver a monthly programme of suitable and interesting activities. 

Our Youth Workers support and deliver all activities both at the centre and further afield. Our Youth Group meetings organise the Junior, Middle and Senior Youth Activities, such as Netball, Cycling, Football, ...

We have a bicycle workshop enabling young people to recycle and maintain bikes which they can then keep.

 Our Youth Committee both help to run the centre and work together with the older members to deliver intergenerational events such as our weekly lunch club; special events; and of course, our many food projects such as our Food Pantry.
